The police intervention, which took place around 11:40 PM on March 16, resulted in the seizure of a shipment of gas canisters and all the necessary equipment for immediate sale to third parties. The events unfolded near a hotel establishment close to the A-2 highway.
Plainclothes officers, conducting preventive surveillance in the area, detected a suspicious transaction: a man was handing over a large canister to another person in exchange for money. Following the intervention, officers identified both individuals.
Those involved admitted that they had just completed the sale of a gas cylinder for 50 euros.
During a search of the arrested individual's vehicle, the Municipal Police discovered a total of eleven nitrous oxide canisters. In addition to the canisters, the detainee was transporting a complete kit for the distribution and recreational consumption of the gas, which included 100 balloons and various ready-to-use nozzles.
Furthermore, during the security pat-down, officers found 150 euros in cash hidden in one of the suspect's trouser pockets. This money was presumably from sales made that same night. The individual was transferred to police facilities to be brought before a judge.
