Since 2016, this festival has consolidated a participatory urban art model, filling businesses, facades, and corners of the neighborhood with creativity. Artists from about twenty countries will present proposals ranging from mural painting to artistic installations, offering a day of live art from morning until late afternoon.
Among the most anticipated novelties of this edition is the return of the popular 'bollard gallery', an activity that invites participants to transform these urban elements into small works of art. Additionally, the Museum of History of Madrid has been designated as one of the main venues for the event, strengthening the connection between urban art and the city's cultural spaces.
Creators selected in the official section will compete for cash prizes, awarded by an independent jury. These awards will be complemented by public recognition through popular vote, highlighting the open and participatory nature of the festival. The event is organized by Madrid Street Art Project and Somos Malasaña, with sponsorship from Mahou and collaboration from various cultural and educational entities.
This initiative has established itself as one of the most important urban art events in Spain. In the coming weeks, more activities designed for all audiences will be announced, aiming for Malasaña to once again become an epicenter of contemporary creativity.
