Among the cultural novelties, the opening of the Museum of Senses Madrid stands out. This interactive space features over 50 immersive installations and various optical illusions. Located in the city center, very close to the Puerta del Sol, this museum will be open every day of the week, offering a unique experience to its visitors.
The Royal Palace is also expanding its offerings, allowing access to the Reliquary and Antereliquary of the Royal Chapel starting in April. These recently restored rooms house valuable historical and artistic pieces, such as a silver relief depicting The Meeting of Attila and Pope Leo the Great at the Gates of Rome and several religious paintings.
Another point of interest is the inauguration of SOLO CSV on Cuesta de San Vicente, between Príncipe Pío and Plaza de España. This new contemporary art center will focus on artistic creation and collaboration, exhibiting the SOLO Collection and presenting an annual program of national and international artists in its Bowman Hal gallery.
In the realm of traditions, the City Council is working to have Madrid's Holy Week recognized as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. This year's program will include the First Meeting of Processional Music Bands and the singing of saetas during the processions.
Furthermore, Madrid is joining the Network of Urban Tourist Destinations of Spain, alongside cities like Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga, San Sebastián, Seville, and Zaragoza, with the aim of jointly addressing the challenges of urban tourism.
International promotion is also key. The Madrid Film Office was present at the Málaga Festival to position the city as a filming destination, presenting a preview of the documentary Madrid Collage, which will premiere in May. Meanwhile, Madrid Unique Destination conducted a roadshow in Canton and Beijing for Chinese tourism operators.
Sports conclude the agenda with the Mutua Madrid Open, taking place from April 20 to May 3 at the Caja Mágica. This prestigious tournament, which includes the ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 categories, will feature prominent figures such as Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, Jannik Sinner, and Iga Swiatek.
