Madrid Prepares for San Isidro 2026 Festivities with a Program Full of Music and Tradition

The celebrations honoring the patron saint of the capital will run from May 7th to 17th, offering a diverse cultural and musical program for all audiences.

The San Isidro 2026 Festivities return to Madrid from May 7th to 17th, featuring a diverse program that includes concerts, cultural activities, and traditional events to celebrate the capital's patron saint.

The Madrid City Council has unveiled the official program for the San Isidro 2026 Festivities, promising ten days of uninterrupted celebration. The festivities will kick off on Thursday, May 7th, with the opening proclamation from the balcony of the Casa de la Villa, marking the beginning of a packed agenda with proposals for all ages.
Among the most prominent events is the traditional pilgrimage to the Pradera de San Isidro, where attendees can enjoy typical local cuisine, such as lemonade and traditional doughnuts. The musical offering is particularly varied, covering genres like pop, rock, electronic, fusion, indie, and flamenco, featuring both emerging and established artists.

The Pradera de San Isidro will be one of the musical epicenters, hosting performances across various styles. On May 8th, rap will take the stage with groups like Socio Ejecutor and Serko, followed by DJ Del Puerto. On May 9th, the band Interferencias, David Otero, and DJ Sofía Cristo will liven up the day. Rumba will be the highlight on May 10th with Manuel Malou and Demarco Flamenco. On May 11th, Castor Head will offer their blend of American, country, and folk music, followed by a tribute to Extremoduro. On May 12th, La Milagrosa and VVV Tripping You will present their dream pop and electronic proposals. On May 13th, Amor Líquido and Carlangas will revisit their classics. On May 14th, Vicente Calderón and Rubén Pozo y los Chicos de la Curva will perform rock, with Fernanda Arrau DJ Set closing the night. On May 15th, Pablo Puerto will bring Madrid rumba, followed by Las Ketchup and Los Chunguitos y familia, with Tiraya and Patataonstereo DJ providing the final touch. On May 16th, Amore and Fangoria will be the main acts, with Cascales DJ Set closing the night. Finally, on May 17th, La Paloma and Xavibo will conclude the festivities at the meadow.
Another key location will be Las Vistillas, which from May 14th to 17th will host shows for all ages. On May 14th, Pablito Tedeka, DJ Ruptura, Rebe, and Hens will perform. On May 15th, Gilda Club will entertain during vermouth hour, and the 46th Edition of the Madrid Villa Rock Awards will be held, with Los Camellos closing the day. On May 16th, Espada y Jotapop DJ, Las Dianas, and El Triángulo de Amor Bizarro will offer their musical proposals. On May 17th, Olva María Ramos and Flashback with Ochoymedio DJ will bring the festivities at Las Vistillas to a close.
The Plaza Mayor will also join the celebrations. On May 14th, LOS40 will commemorate its 60th anniversary with a special concert featuring artists such as Miguel Ríos, Alejo Stivel, The Refrescos, Celtas Cortos, Amistades Peligrosas, and OBK. On May 15th, the Municipal Symphonic Band of Madrid will pay tribute to Sara Montiel alongside Nuria Fergó. On May 16th, La Bien Querida and Baiuca will offer their pop and electronic sounds. For the grand finale, on May 17th, Las Migas and Juega Flamenca with Montoya & Carmona will bring flamenco to the square.
The Matadero de Madrid will be another musical venue, featuring traditional open-air dances (verbenas) by orchestras such as Nuevo Versalles (May 14th), Gran Rockset (May 15th), Invictus (May 16th), and Panther Show (May 17th).
In addition to music, the festivities will include family activities such as open-air theater, musicals, and storytelling. Traditional "chotis" dances and performances, popular dances, parades, and workshops will also be featured, along with fairs like the Cacharrería de Madrid and the International Record Fair. The religious aspect will also be present with the traditional Blessing of the Water and the Field Mass.
