The festivities, centered around the Pradera de San Isidro, will be spread across multiple iconic locations in the capital, including Plaza Mayor, Las Vistillas, and Matadero Madrid, as well as cultural centers in districts like Carabanchel.
The program kicks off on Thursday, May 7, with a DJ set in the Plaza de la Villa, followed by the official proclamation. On the same day, the traditional Gigantes y Cabezudos (Giants and Big-Heads) will parade through the streets starting from the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions.
Throughout the following days, attendees can enjoy a wide range of events. At Matadero Madrid, visitors can explore the exhibition El botijo revisitado and participate in workshops. The Parque de San Isidro will host children's theater, concerts, and traditional activities, such as the election of the chulapo and chulapa.
Live music will be a constant feature, with performances by artists such as David Otero, Demarco Flamenco, and Fangoria at Parque de San Isidro. The Plaza Mayor will host special concerts, including a tribute to Sara Montiel by the Municipal Symphonic Band of Madrid and the Madrid Dance Festival.
The festivities will culminate on Sunday, May 17, with the Regional Houses Folklore Exhibition in Plaza Mayor, children's activities in Las Vistillas, and a grand fireworks display at Parque de San Isidro, promising a memorable celebration for all ages.
