The president of the Community of Madrid has publicly stated that her and her team's security was compromised during an institutional trip to Mexico, leading her to cancel the remainder of her agenda in the country.

The leader of the Madrid executive expressed concern over the lack of security guarantees in a country that, according to her statements, faces serious drug trafficking issues. She asserted that both the Mexican and Spanish governments left her "to her fate" in a dangerous environment.

"It is profoundly violent and dangerous, and the Government has abandoned us. Not only have they abandoned us, but they have fueled the fire from Spain."

The situation, according to the president, forced her to "cut short and disappear" from her planned schedule to avoid endangering her delegation. She emphasized that the lack of diplomatic support from the Spanish Government is "extremely serious," especially in a context where, in her words, numerous politicians have been assassinated in Mexico since the ruling party came to power.
For its part, the PSOE-M has described the president's statements as a "strategy" and "delusional." They have questioned the veracity of the accusations, suggesting that the complaint seeks to victimize herself and blame the central Government.
