The work will focus on Calle 30 and extend to major capital access routes such as the A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5, A-6, A-42, M-11, M-23, M-500, and M-607. This initiative is part of the 2026 Asphalt Operation and will impact 9% of the roads managed by the mixed-capital company.
To minimize disruptions, tasks will be exclusively carried out during nighttime hours. The technique used will be milling, which involves mechanically removing the deteriorated surface layer of the pavement before applying the new asphalt mix.
The first phase will take place on the A-6, between Moncloa and the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, renewing 160,000 square meters. Work on the BUS-VAO lane will occur this Friday and Saturday, with paving completed the following weekend.
The roadway entering the capital will undergo works from July 15 to 28, with diversions via the M-500. In the outbound direction, work will extend from July 26 to August 17, with alternative routes managed by the Municipal Police of Madrid via Avenida de la Complutense.
The municipal plan includes other significant interventions during the summer. 50,000 square meters will be renewed inside the M-30 tunnel, specifically between the southern junction and the Glorieta de Marqués de Vadillo.
Additionally, the campaign will reach Puente de Vallecas after waterproofing works are completed. The final phase will focus on the O'Donnell Avenue deck at the M-23 junction in the outbound direction, utilizing part of the 19,000 tons of asphalt mix budgeted.
