The day in Madrid is marked by a significant traffic collapse on the M-40 due to a vehicle fire, the imminent arrival of rain, and the start of a strike in nursery schools, affecting mobility and educational services.

A vehicle fire on the M-40, near Campamento and Barrio de la Fortuna, has caused considerable congestion and complicated access to Madrid during rush hour. This incident adds to the meteorological instability expected in the region.
The Community of Madrid is preparing for new rainfall starting in the afternoon, with particular attention to the western third and the possibility of thunderstorms in the central area. Temperatures are expected to drop, and carrying an umbrella is recommended given the rain forecast for Tuesday.
In the educational sector, the strike in Madrid's nursery schools, called by the CGT and the Plataforma Laboral Escuelas Infantiles, began this Tuesday. The Community of Madrid has established minimum services to mitigate the impact on families. This strike occurs in a context where the first cycle of early childhood education in Madrid already faces challenges in management and equity.
On another note, the Madrid City Council has opened registration for the tenth edition of the Madrid Impacta Award, which grants 50,000 euros to business projects with a positive social impact. Additionally, the 21 Distrititos festival returns with family activities in Vicálvaro and Villaverde, including theater, music, and circus.
Regarding the employment situation, unemployment in Madrid during March stood at 135,488, marking the best figure for this month since 2008, with a year-on-year decrease of 3.4% and a monthly drop of 0.1%.
