The Community of Madrid today assessed 785 candidates for public access controller accreditation, the highest figure in ten years.

The Community of Madrid today examined 785 candidates to obtain accreditation as access controllers for public entertainment and recreational activities. This represents the largest call for applications held in the last decade, following the validation of applications by the Directorate General of Security, under the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, and Interior.
The tests took place at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineers and consisted of two exercises. The first was a psychological test designed to evaluate the necessary aptitude and personal conditions for performing these duties. The second involved an assessment of knowledge comprising 50 questions on previously established subjects.
The content covered aspects related to the specific functions of access control personnel, environmental and urban protection, fundamental rights and duties, as well as issues linked to security, public health, and offenses against persons.
As a significant novelty, the syllabus has incorporated thematic content adapted to new regulations, such as prevention of sexual violence, social skills, civility, and citizen coexistence.
The objective is to update the role of the access controller, integrating recent modifications that enhance their functions and responsibilities. Furthermore, this call will allow for an increase in the number of qualified professionals to contribute to the safety, organization, and proper functioning of establishments and venues dedicated to leisure and public entertainment in the Community of Madrid.
