The city of Madrid is set to become the focus of the equestrian world this May, hosting the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour 2026 at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

From May 15th to 17th, the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid will host the Longines Global Champions Tour 2026 (LGCT), the most prestigious private international circuit in equestrian show jumping. This event will feature the 115th edition of the International Show Jumping Competition of Madrid (CSI), solidifying the capital's position as a benchmark in equestrian sports.
The presentation of this new edition took place at the Palacio de Cibeles, where a representative from the Madrid City Council highlighted the city's natural vocation to host major sporting events and its ability to integrate them as its own. The attendance of over 30,000 people last year was mentioned, underscoring public interest in this competition.

Furthermore, the role of the Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid was emphasized, described as the best venue with the most suitable facilities and the ideal atmosphere to host the event. Such competitions are also crucial for “nurturing new talent,” serving as an inspiration for young people starting in any sport, especially equestrianism, and reinforcing the municipal commitment to grassroots sports.
Following its stops in Doha, Mexico, and Shanghai, the Longines Global Champions Tour arrives in Madrid as the first European and only Spanish venue. The competition will feature 12 events bringing together the world's top riders, transforming the city into an international showcase for equestrian sport. The previous edition saw rider Ioli Mytilineou win the Grand Prix of Madrid.
