This financial allocation, part of the reconstruction measures plan presented a month ago, was approved by the Governing Council and promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Employment. The program is structured into two modalities that can be combined.
The first modality consists of a single payment of 5,000 euros, aimed at covering necessary expenses for business resumption or those incurred due to activity paralysis. The second modality offers a subsidy of 1,798 euros, equivalent to six monthly payments of the minimum contribution to the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), or 1,389 euros for those affiliated with an alternative social security mutual society.
Beneficiaries must have their physical address or business activity located in one of the municipalities affected by the fire and have suffered damages directly or indirectly from it or from firefighting and civil protection efforts. A mandatory requirement is to have registered as self-employed before July 23rd, the date the national emergency was declared.
Through this initiative, the regional government aims to mitigate the impact of the fire on self-employed professionals and preserve employment in the areas hit by the catastrophe. The application process will be conducted via the Digital Administration of the Comunidad de Madrid and will remain open for two months from the publication of the corresponding order in the Official Gazette of the Comunidad de Madrid.
These emergency aids are complemented by another line of support for industrial, commercial, artisan, and service SMEs operating in the affected zone, which has a budget of 6 million euros. Both lines are part of the package of measures announced by the president of the Comunidad de Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, within the recovery plan.
