The third edition of the Madrid Comic Fair has set its dates and location, returning to Matadero Madrid between April 1 and 4, 2027. This event, jointly organized by the City Council's Culture, Tourism and Sports Department and the Madrid Booksellers Association, aims to firmly establish comics, graphic novels, and manga within the capital's cultural landscape.
Previous editions have demonstrated the initiative's success. The second edition, held from March 26 to 29 this year, saw significant participation with 60 booths, 32 scheduled activities, and 297 signing sessions. Furthermore, sales volume grew by 34% compared to the previous year, and the fair achieved considerable media and social media coverage.
“"The event operates on two pillars: a commercial area with bookstores and publishers, and a cultural program with meetings, talks, signings, and activities for all audiences. This structure has allowed it to consolidate as one of the major gatherings dedicated to the ninth art in Madrid."
For the 2027 edition, the organization is already working on implementing new actions designed to enhance the visitor experience. The goal is to broaden the fair's appeal, not only for connoisseurs and regular fans but also to attract new audiences interested in the world of comics.
In the coming months, important details will be unveiled, such as the official poster and the image representing this new edition, as well as the complete list of participating exhibitors and the detailed program of activities that will make up the fair.
