The capital is preparing to host the third edition of the Madrid Comic Fair, scheduled to take place from April 1 to 4, 2027. The event will once again be held at Matadero Madrid, a venue that has become the established home for this cultural gathering dedicated to the ninth art.
Organized by the Culture, Tourism and Sports Area and the Madrid Booksellers Association, the fair has received an excellent reception in its first two editions. The upcoming event aims to continue growing and strengthening its role as an essential meeting point for readers, bookstores, publishers, authors, and industry professionals.
The previous edition, held from March 26 to 29 this year, demonstrated the event's potential. It featured 60 stands, 32 activities, and 297 signing sessions, recording a 34% increase in sales volume compared to the previous year. Furthermore, it garnered significant coverage in media and social networks.
Since its inception, the Madrid Comic Fair has combined a commercial area, with the participation of bookstores and publishers, with a diverse cultural program that includes meetings, talks, signings, and activities designed for various audiences. For the 2027 edition, new initiatives are being explored to enrich the visitor experience and enhance the fair's appeal, both for seasoned enthusiasts of the ninth art and to attract new audiences.
With this third edition, Madrid reaffirms its commitment to comics, graphic novels, and manga as top-tier cultural expressions. The fair aims to consolidate its position as a national and international benchmark. In the coming months, the official poster, the edition's image, participating exhibitors, and the full program of the event will be announced.
