The program, promoted by the Madrid City Council, aims to turn these centers into meeting points and spaces for dialogue under the theme Museums for Education and Research, as proposed by ICOM. Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy open house days, extended hours, and a diverse offering ranging from music to astronomy.
Participating venues include the San Isidro Museum, the Museum of History of Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Municipal Printing House-Arts of the Book, the San Antonio de la Florida Hermitage, the Castillo de la Alameda, and the Planetarium of Madrid.
Activities include family-friendly proposals such as the Laboratory of the Past workshop at the San Isidro Museum, as well as artistic interventions blending dance and literature at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Meanwhile, the Planetarium of Madrid will use the occasion to provide information about the total solar eclipse scheduled for August 2026.
