The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid has approved an increase of 10.2 million euros in investment for Dependency, raising the total budget to 428 million euros for this year.

This decision will ensure the payment of already granted aid, cover pending commitments from ongoing processes, and address the new demand for Individual Care Programs. It is estimated that over 98,000 citizens will benefit from these economic benefits.
The aid is distributed into three main modalities: care within the family environment, service-linked benefits, and personal assistance. The first modality consists of a monthly allowance to support expenses derived from the care a person in a dependency situation receives at home from a family caregiver.
The second modality is intended to supplement the financing of the cost of a service offered by a duly accredited private social resource, chosen by the citizen. These services can include home help, residential care, day centers, or services for the promotion of personal autonomy.
Finally, the third modality, personal assistance, aims to facilitate greater independence for the beneficiary. This support is designed to help them with daily activities and in achieving their life project.
