This resource, now 100% operational in homes, has deployed 400,000 new smart devices based on a preventive and personalized model to promote autonomy and proactive care.
Currently, the service assists 108,085 citizens, who have an individual intervention plan tailored to their circumstances. Devices include motion and fall detectors, magnetic sensors, fire, smoke, and gas detectors, as well as watches with geolocation and electronic medication dispensers.
Data generated by these terminals are analyzed using new technologies to detect anomalies in user habits and anticipate incidents, allowing for early identification of potential cognitive or physical problems.
Following the approval of a new agreement with an investment of 36.7 million euros, the service incorporates advancements to improve care quality and adapt interventions to individual needs.
Key innovations include the implementation of an Individual Intervention Plan, enabling personalized design and monitoring of support within a unique digital platform, facilitating coordination among professionals.
Specific programs will be launched for groups such as individuals over 90 years old or those with greater complexity or dependency. Team qualifications are enhanced with expanded training hours and the addition of over 30 social workers.
The service is monitored by 450 workers and mobile units that respond to incidents at homes, coordinating with public, private, or family resources, providing 24/7 assistance.
These teams include new professional profiles such as psychologists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physiotherapists, who conduct individualized assessments.
This strategy aims to enable individuals to choose where and how they live, with necessary support through more humane, technological, and preventive home care, adapted to the challenges of an aging population and increasing long-term care needs.
The region surpassed 222,000 people assisted in the System for Autonomy and Dependency Care in June, a historic record, representing an increase of over 53,000 beneficiaries since the start of the Legislature.
In total, Madrid residents in situations of dependency have access to 322,017 benefits, including financial aid, in-home support, autonomy promotion services, and places in residential or day care centers.
