The Madrid City Council has launched a mobility and security plan for the San Isidro Festivities, taking place until May 17, urging citizens to use public transport to attend the events.

The head of Urban Planning, Environment, and Mobility for the Madrid City Council has advised attendees of the San Isidro Festivities to opt for public transport. This recommendation is valid throughout the festive period, which concludes on May 17.

"The opening speech and the Rels B concert held this Thursday in the Plaza Mayor proceeded “reasonably well” and with adequate access thanks to public transport."

The municipal initiative seeks to minimize private vehicle travel, especially on days with high public attendance. To this end, a comprehensive plan has been designed, including security measures and traffic management.
It has been highlighted that the public transport network, with specific reinforcements in the Metro and the Municipal Transport Company, facilitates access to key locations such as Las Vistillas and the Pradera de San Isidro. Citizens are advised to consult official channels for information on possible detours or changes in EMT lines that may affect their journeys.
