The central day of the visit in the capital begins at 10:00 AM at Plaza de Cibeles, where the Pontiff presides over the Holy Mass and the Corpus Christi procession. The area has been prepared to accommodate a large crowd, featuring a 600-square-meter altar and giant screens for attendees to follow the ceremony.
The security and mobility plan includes popemobile routes connecting key locations such as the Ramiro de Maeztu Institute, Serrano street, and Felipe II avenue. Local authorities and institutional representatives are expected to attend the morning's main events.
In the afternoon, activities move to the Movistar Arena for the 'Tejer redes' (Weaving Networks) event. This gathering aims to foster dialogue between the Church and various sectors of society, including culture, economy, and sports. The session will feature prominent figures from the arts, academia, and labor unions, focusing on the common good and resilience.
