The majority of citizens in the Community of Madrid consider local companies to be the main driver of economic and social progress in the region.

According to a recent analysis by the Confederation of Employers of Madrid-CEOE (CEIM) in collaboration with Sigma2, 89.1% of residents have a favorable perception of corporations. The study, titled 'Perception of citizenship regarding Madrid companies', highlights that 97.6% of respondents describe these organizations as necessary for regional development.
The report places companies ahead of other institutions in terms of public approval, highlighting their fundamental role in job creation. Furthermore, 86.4% of those surveyed agree that the Community of Madrid offers a favorable environment for entrepreneurship and business activity.
However, citizens have also identified the main obstacles hindering growth. Among the most cited concerns are excessive bureaucracy, tax pressure, and labor costs, factors which respondents claim hinder the daily operations of SMEs and the self-employed.
Currently, the region accounts for a significant portion of the national productive fabric, representing nearly 20% of Spain's GDP. The business association has insisted on the need to reduce administrative burdens to maintain the economic dynamism that characterizes the territory.
