Atlético de Madrid Femenino announced this Thursday the contract renewal of their goalkeeper Lola Gallardo until June 30, 2029. This agreement will allow the captain to continue "making history defending the Atlético goal for three more seasons", as communicated by the club.
At 32 years old, the goalkeeper will begin her fourteenth season with the Madrid-based team in the 2026-27 season. Her career solidifies her as the player with the most official matches played for the Rojiblanca jersey, accumulating a total of 267 games. These are distributed across 222 Liga F matches, 26 in the Copa de la Reina, 16 in the UEFA Women's Champions League, and three in the Spanish Super Cup.
Gallardo's trophy cabinet at the club is equally remarkable, including five titles: three league championships (2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19) and two Queen's Cups (2015-16 and 2022-23). With this renewal, the goalkeeper will continue to write her history with the club, where she is recognized as a legendary captain.
“"I am happy to be at home, to continue for three more years and to continue enjoying this club that has given me so much."
The goalkeeper's continuity reinforces the sporting project of Atlético de Madrid Femenino, ensuring they will have one of the most experienced and decorated goalkeepers in Spanish football for the next three years.
