The San Isidro 2026 Festivities in Madrid feature a diverse range of family and children's activities, including magic shows, theater, and storytelling, spread across various city locations until May 17.

The program for the San Isidro Festivities has been designed to cater to all audiences, from the youngest to the oldest. Each year, the presence of family activities is strengthened, with specific proposals for the participation of children in the capital, going beyond the usual folklore and musical shows.
Among the leisure and cultural options for families are magic shows, theatrical performances, musical acts, storytelling sessions, and even a traditional botijo drinking contest. Additionally, Matadero Madrid will host its emblematic Automaton Theater, a piece of Madrid's cultural heritage with over 80 years of history, showcasing traditional scenes ranging from orchestras to cabaret shows.
Most of these activities will be concentrated at the family and traditional stage in the Pradera de San Isidro, continuing until Sunday, May 17. However, there will also be proposals for the little ones in Las Vistillas, the Plaza de las Comendadoras with the Feria de la Cacharrería, and other spaces distributed throughout the city's districts.

The cultural and family leisure offerings for the San Isidro 2026 Festivities include magic, theatrical performances, musical acts, storytelling, and even a botijo drinking contest.

The event calendar includes, for example, on Friday, May 8, children's theater with María La Flamenca and Mi amigo el delfín at San Isidro Park. On Saturday, May 9, the same park will host a singing and dancing show, and a performance by El Mago Sergio. Other venues such as the Auditorio Carmen Laforet and Amós Acero Park will also feature children's shows.
Throughout the rest of the week, there will be shows such as La hormiga y la cigarra, traditional storytelling, magic with Tonino el poderoso, and plays like Carlota y sus mascotas, al rescate de cuentos. On Thursday, May 14, the Feria de la Cacharrería will open its doors in the Plaza de las Comendadoras, offering an additional cultural experience. On Friday, May 15, the Gigantes y Cabezudos (Giants and Big-Heads) will parade through the streets, culminating with fireworks at midnight. On Saturday, May 16, in addition to the Automaton Theater at Matadero Madrid, the children's botijo drinking contest will take place at San Isidro Park. The festivities will conclude on Sunday, May 17 with games and workshops in Las Vistillas, more Automaton Theater performances, and a grand fireworks finale at San Isidro Park.
