The 'MADRURAL: Madrid en Primavera' fair is taking place this weekend in Becerril de la Sierra and Hoyo de Manzanares, showcasing the gastronomic and artisanal richness of Madrid's rural regions.

The initiative, which seeks to highlight the rural territory of the Community of Madrid, will be held tomorrow, Saturday, in Becerril de la Sierra, and on Sunday the 17th in Hoyo de Manzanares. The event is designed as a meeting point between local producers and visitors, offering a showcase of products from the four participating regions: Las Vegas y Alcarria Madrileña, Sierra de Guadarrama, Sierra Oeste, and Sierra Norte.
Attendees can enjoy tourist information, live cooking demonstrations with local ingredients, guided tastings, and participatory workshops. The exhibited products, which will be zero-kilometer, organically or certified produced, and seasonal, reflect the diversity and quality of the Madrid countryside.
The organization of the fair is committed to strict respect for residents and the natural environment, applying principles of environmental impact reduction. The foldable wooden stalls facilitate transport and assembly without heavy machinery, minimizing light and acoustic disturbances to ensure residents' tranquility.
The program in both locations includes guided tastings of honeys, cheeses, oils, breads, and vegetables, as well as family gastronomic demonstrations and showcookings of zero-kilometer tapas and cold dishes with pairings.
