The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) of Madrid has announced adjustments to six of its university bus lines, modifying schedules and frequencies between June 8 and September 6 to accommodate the reduction in passengers during the summer holiday period.

These changes will affect services connecting to the campuses of Somosaguas, Ciudad Universitaria, and the Vallecas Polytechnic Campus. According to the City Council of Madrid, the measure responds to the usual decrease in student travel coinciding with the summer academic break.
Lines A (Moncloa-Somosaguas) and H (Aluche-Somosaguas) will operate with a low-season schedule from June 8 to July 14, and again between September 1 and 6. From July 15 to August 8, and from August 17 to 31, they will run on non-academic period schedules. During the week of August 10 to 16, these services will be suspended.
Line E (Conde de Casal-Sierra de Guadalupe) will maintain reduced schedules until July 10 and will resume this planning between September 1 and 6. From July 13 until the end of August, this line will not operate.
Lines F (Cuatro Caminos-Ciudad Universitaria), G (Moncloa-Ciudad Universitaria), and U (Séneca-Paraninfo) will operate with low-season service until July 14 and during the first days of September. Between July 15 and August 31, these routes will be out of service.
The EMT plans to restore the usual schedules and frequencies for all university lines on September 7, coinciding with the progressive return of academic activity and the expected increase in users on the various Madrid campuses.
