The Community of Madrid has been honored with the 2026 Innovation and Prevention award for its 2026-2028 Digital Health Strategic Plan, promoted by the regional government.

The award, presented at the II Prevention for a Healthy Future Awards, highlights the technological transformation of the Madrid healthcare system. The winning project focuses on implementing Artificial Intelligence tools and data analytics to foster more personalized and proactive medicine.
During the event, the regional officials for Digitalization and Health accepted the prize. It was emphasized that technology is a fundamental pillar for building a society better prepared for future challenges, allowing for the anticipation of diseases through predictive models.
Furthermore, the importance of prevention as the backbone of healthcare excellence was underscored. During the same ceremony, an additional distinction was granted to the Sandoval centers for their specialized work in the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
