The Community of Madrid has approved an investment of 1,089,000 euros to sponsor the Mad Cool festival, scheduled from July 8 to 11 in the Villaverde district, aiming to attract international tourism and position the region in the global circuit of major cultural events.

This collaboration will allow the regional government to have a prominent presence at the festival grounds, including a dedicated space for tourism promotion and digital activations. The initiative includes the dissemination of videos supporting emerging talent, filmed in various locations across Madrid.
Additionally, a social media campaign will be launched, both before and after the event, to promote the capital's tourist attractions among national and international audiences. The ninth edition of the festival in the region expects over 240,000 attendees, with 25% coming from other countries.

The festival has been recognized as the European event with the best lineup by the British magazine New Musical Express.

In its 2025 edition, Mad Cool generated an economic impact exceeding 36 million euros in the Community of Madrid and contributed to the creation of 4,832 jobs. The 162,000 attendees that year, with 25% international participation, spent a total of 12.6 million euros.
In terms of publicity, more than 2,235 publications were recorded across various media, reaching 707 million users and generating a return of over 11 million euros. The event accredited 380 journalists from 240 national media outlets and 75 professionals from 42 foreign media outlets.
