The project, known as Madrid Comunidad Deportiva, seeks to integrate physical exercise into the school environment through two main pillars: a dissemination phase, focused on teaching theoretical and practical foundations, and a competitive phase for students aged 9 to 16.
The initiative includes specific programs such as Madrid Comunidad Inclusiva, which collaborates with 11 federations to adapt activities for Special Education centers, and Mañanas Activas, designed for schools located more than 30 kilometers from the capital that face greater difficulties in accessing sports resources.
To ensure participant safety, the regional administration has established healthcare protocols. While students in 3rd and 4th year of ESO, Bachillerato, and FP have school insurance, primary and early secondary students will receive medical attention through the public or private health system depending on their coverage, supplemented by an additional policy subscribed by the Community of Madrid.
