The most recent action includes the installation of 1.7 kilometers of new fencing on lines C-2, C-7, and C-8. These works, awarded for over 900,000 euros, will be carried out in the municipalities of Madrid, Coslada, Alcalá de Henares, and Cabanillas del Campo.
The main objective of these interventions is to increase infrastructure protection in areas with high population density and urban growth. The new enclosures, which can reach 2.5 meters in height, aim to deter unauthorized transit on the tracks and prevent the creation of illegal crossings.
In addition to this contract, Adif is developing other projects in the Henares Corridor, Tres Cantos, and the surroundings of El Escorial. Furthermore, the improvement of enclosures in municipalities such as Pinto, Parla, Getafe, and Fuenlabrada is currently in the bidding phase, with a budget of 2 million euros.
