This agreement, in effect for over two decades, allows the Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities of the Community of Madrid to cover the costs of teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as other essential operational expenses for the public institution.
During the 2025/2026 academic year, the Rodolfo Halffter Conservatory in Móstoles served 441 students, with 214 enrolled in elementary studies and 227 in professional studies, according to information from the regional government.
The conservatory offers a total of 15 instrumental specialties, including clarinet, double bass, bassoon, flute, guitar, oboe, percussion, piano, saxophone, trombone, French horn, trumpet, violin, viola, and cello.
Across the Community of Madrid, over 6,000 students receive artistic training in Music and Dance at the 14 regional conservatories and the three municipal centers in Móstoles, Alcorcón, and Leganés.
These programs focus on the technical learning of various instruments and voice, complemented by historical, aesthetic, and expressive knowledge related to music, aiming to prepare students for professional development in the field.
Admission to these studies requires passing a specific entrance examination. Elementary studies last four years, while professional studies extend over six years.
