Community of Madrid Increases Investment by 24% in Collado Villalba Residence

The Community of Madrid has approved a 24.2% increase in investment for the residence and day center in Collado Villalba, allocating over 10 million euros for its management.

The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid has agreed to allocate more than 10 million euros for the management of the residence and day center located in Collado Villalba. This decision represents a 24.2 percent increase in the annual investment compared to the previous contract.
The new contract, which will run from November 15, 2026, to November 14, 2028, includes several significant improvements. Among these, an increase in the number of professionals in key categories such as geroculturist, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist is planned, along with the incorporation of a nutritionist.
The Collado Villalba Residence has a capacity for 140 residents, with 20 places reserved for individuals with Alzheimer's. It also offers 50 places for the day care center, marking an increase of five new places compared to the previous contract.
Additionally, the Governing Council has approved the maintenance of 120 residential places and 40 day care places at the Villa del Prado residential complex, situated in the same municipality. This initiative will require an investment of 3.2 million euros and will extend from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027.
The Community of Madrid maintains an extensive public social care network exceeding 63,000 places of various types, with over 36,800 dedicated to the elderly. The regional government is actively promoting the construction of 40 new residences and 40 day centers, which will add 8,000 new places through public-private partnerships.
