A fire originating on the ground floor of a building on Francisco Requena street, in the Ciudad Lineal district, has forced the evacuation of residents from upper floors and required the intervention of seven units from the Madrid City Fire Department.

The blaze started in a ground-floor dwelling, spreading with great intensity and completely engulfing the apartment. The rapid spread of smoke flooded the building's stairwell, trapping residents on the upper floors and creating moments of high tension.
Seven units from the Madrid City Fire Department were quickly dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked simultaneously to extinguish the flames on the ground floor and rescue residents trapped on the upper floors, ensuring their safety.
A preventive medical post from SAMUR-Civil Protection attended to a total of seven individuals in the area. Most of the affected suffered mild smoke inhalation and anxiety attacks. One person required transfer to a hospital for more thorough evaluation.
Officers from the Madrid Municipal Police assisted in the operation, closing Francisco Requena street to traffic to facilitate emergency efforts and ensure pedestrian safety.
