Agents of the Madrid Municipal Police have seized more than thirty firearms and abundant ammunition hidden in the cargo area of a moving truck in the Puente de Vallecas district.

A preventive police inspection has led to the seizure of a significant deposit of ballistic material in the south of the capital. Agents of the Madrid Municipal Police have confiscated just over thirty firearms along with an abundant supply of projectiles and mechanical firing components.
The entire arsenal was prepared for transport in the cargo area of a truck intended for moving services, which was parked on a public street within the Puente de Vallecas district. The intervention was triggered around 8:00 PM last Friday, May 22nd, on Sierra Salvada street.
The driver and owner of the transport truck requested the presence of a patrol from the local force, which was conducting surveillance in the vicinity. The operator conveyed his suspicions and concerns to the officers regarding the nature of the goods that private individuals had hired him to transport, fearing that illegal items might have been camouflaged among the packages.
Upon searching the rear compartment of the truck, law enforcement officers located a large cardboard box. Inside, they found an inventory consisting of conventional revolvers, historical muzzle-loading revolvers, ammunition of various calibers, percussion systems and parts, primed casings for reloading, and abundant live ammunition, among other technical shooting devices.
After securing the area and proceeding with the precautionary removal of the merchandise to prevent risks, the items were transferred to the facilities of the District Integral Police Station. During the subsequent expert examination and detailed count of the confiscated material, police technicians confirmed the existence of over 30 firearms, subdivided between fully operational structures and incomplete or unassembled frames, as well as loose spare parts and metallic ammunition.
The Judicial Police have opened an investigation to clarify the origin of the shipment, identify both the sender and the final recipient of the moving service, and determine whether the seized weaponry lacks the corresponding administrative licenses or if it has any connection to previous criminal acts.
