The operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals, four men and one woman, allegedly involved in a crime against public health and belonging to a criminal group. The investigation focused on a premises operating under the false guise of a cannabis consumers' association and an adjacent dwelling, both dedicated to the distribution of hashish, marijuana, and the new substance called WAX.
Police inquiries began in February after detecting a constant flow of people entering and leaving the premises and the dwelling. Investigations confirmed it was a disguised illicit business, as the supposed smoking club lacked official registration and did not identify its supposed members.
WAX, a concentrated cannabis extract with a wax-like texture, can reach up to 90% THC, far exceeding the potency of hashish or marijuana. Its effect is immediate and intensely psychoactive, and it is sold by microns. Officers seized nearly 400 grams of this substance, valued at approximately 30,000 euros.
During the final phase of the investigation, carried out on June 17, simultaneous raids and searches were conducted at both locations. 2 kg of marijuana, over 1 kg of hashish, and the 400 grams of WAX were seized, along with nearly 2,000 euros in cash and various tools for dosing and distribution.
The seized premises had several rooms, including a reception area with a locker for storing drugs and a dispensary where the WAX was found in a refrigerator. Other products such as gummies and cosmetics were also found, as well as manufactured cigarettes. Several individuals performed various tasks to maintain the illicit activity.
