This financial allocation will cover the operational and technical costs required for the area's transformation. Planned actions include urbanization works, comprehensive project planning, entity management, and the execution of external connections essential for the future neighborhood's functionality.
Site preparation work has already begun with the demolition of non-protected infrastructure. Currently, the final draft of the urbanization project is being prepared, a document that still awaits final approval from the Madrid City Council.
The project stands as one of the most significant public urban regeneration efforts in Spain, covering a total area of 211 hectares. The urban plan reserves one-quarter of the land for residential use, while the remainder will be distributed among facilities, streets, public spaces, and green areas.
The housing offer will include both purchase and rental options, with capped prices to ensure accessibility for households with incomes between 2 and 7.5 times the IPREM. Furthermore, the design includes planting over 5,300 trees and creating 154,000 square meters of green space, alongside transport infrastructure improvements and the burying of the A-5 highway.
