The Silo de Hortaleza has become the venue for the exhibition ‘Una parada en Madrid’, a unique showcase combining pictorial works with intervened musical instruments. The collection, presented by the Museo Cromática de Toledo, was inaugurated today with a visit from the district's councilor, David Pérez.
David Pérez highlighted the exhibition's significance, stating, "This is the first time this collection has left the Toledo museum's facilities to come, in this case, to the Silo de Hortaleza, which is becoming a museum reference point." The councilor encouraged "all residents, not just from Hortaleza, but from all of Madrid" to visit the exhibition.
The exhibition, part of the district's cultural programming, will be open to the public until June 28th. Conceived as a vertical journey through the creative universe of the Museo Cromática, the exhibition spans the six floors of the Silo de Hortaleza. Each level features an intervened musical instrument alongside a selection of works by artists associated with the museum, creating a dialogue between painting, music, and contemporary emotion.
‘Una parada en Madrid’ goes beyond the conventional exhibition format, functioning as an artistic project where musical instruments are transformed into unique pieces and artists contribute their personal perspectives within a shared discourse. The Silo de Hortaleza stands as a transitional space, a meeting point between cities, disciplines, and sensibilities, inviting visitors to an artistic experience that transcends mere contemplation into lived experience.
