The victim suffered cardiac arrest due to smoke inhalation, requiring intervention from emergency services. He was transported to the 12 de Octubre Hospital.
The incident occurred around 3:00 PM in a property on Salvador Alonso street. Two units from the Madrid City Council Fire Department extinguished the flames and found the man unconscious in one of the rooms.
SAMUR paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, successfully reversing the cardiac arrest. Once stabilized, he was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to Emergencias Madrid.
