A 60-year-old man was severely injured this Saturday after being run over while carrying out maintenance work in a parking lot on Doctor García Tapia Avenue, in the Moratalaz district, in what has been classified as a workplace accident.

The accident occurred minutes before 11:00 AM. According to Emergencias Madrid, the victim was crouched at the parking lot's exit, performing painting tasks, when he was hit by a car. The driver of the vehicle, according to initial reports, reportedly did not see the worker due to a change in road gradient.

Following initial treatment, the man was transferred with severe trauma to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital, escorted by the Madrid Municipal Police.
