The meeting, held this Tuesday, addresses the situation of the Iberdrola Music Space, a venue that has been a source of controversy due to multiple issues involving residents, the company, and public administrations. From event cancellations to problems arising from major concerts, the space is once again at the center of Madrid's political debate.

According to sources from the Government Delegation, Martín conveyed to Lassenda Madrid Xperience, the managing company, the position he has maintained in recent years: the area surrounding the venue, located in the Villaverde district, lacks adequate conditions for holding mass events.

The Delegation has insisted that both the Community of Madrid and the Madrid City Council must carry out the necessary actions to improve the surrounding area. These shortcomings were acknowledged by both administrations after incidents occurred at the end of a major concert in 2023, but, according to the Delegation, the required improvements have not been implemented since then.

One of the key issues to be addressed is mobility, an aspect that requires coordination with the Getafe City Council, a neighboring municipality that bears a significant portion of the impact generated by events at Iberdrola Music.

Sources from the Delegation have reaffirmed their "full willingness to dialogue and coordinate" within their competencies, but have stressed that it is not the responsibility of the General State Administration to compensate for the lack of action by the competent administrations regarding the venue's surroundings, access, and mobility.
