The Government Delegation in Madrid has warned that it will initiate legal proceedings against the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid over the lack of information regarding Paraíso Park.

The state body has formally requested details on the interventions carried out in this green space, located in the San Blas-Canillejas district. According to the institution, the deadline to receive a response expires in the coming days, after which a contentious-administrative lawsuit will be filed if the required documentation is not obtained.
The purpose of this request is to understand the measures adopted by local and regional administrations to address the social and health needs identified both within the park and its immediate surroundings. The Government Delegation maintains that the solutions implemented to date, focused primarily on strengthening security, are insufficient to address the underlying issues.
Previously, the institution had promoted a working group with neighborhood participation to design a comprehensive plan for the area, a proposal that, as they have indicated, did not have the support or collaboration of the other involved administrations.
