The incident began around 2:50 AM. The flames originated on a ground floor and spread rapidly to the facade, causing severe damage to the exterior woodwork of the upper floors due to the intense heat.
Due to the heavy smoke accumulation in the stairwell, the Madrid City Council Firefighters, who deployed six units, ordered residents to remain confined in their homes as a safety measure while they carried out extinguishing and ventilation tasks.
SAMUR-Civil Protection services treated three people at the scene for smoke inhalation. After initial stabilization, they were transported to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital for a thorough medical evaluation.
The operation also involved officers from the Madrid Municipal Police and the National Police, who closed traffic in the area to facilitate the work of the emergency teams. Once the intervention was completed, it was confirmed that the affected home was left uninhabitable.
