Madrid's emergency services have recommended that citizens use alternative numbers while a technical fault affecting the 112 emergency telephone number in the Community of Madrid is resolved. The incident has limited the call reception capacity of the general emergency number, impacting the ordinary provision of the service.
Given this situation, citizens have been asked to resort to alternative numbers if they cannot reach the usual service. For emergency access, they can contact 061 for urgent healthcare, 091 for the National Police, and 092 for the Municipal Police.
These alternative numbers will remain available while the normal operation of 112 is restored. Technical teams are working to resolve the fault "as soon as possible" and restore normal emergency telephone service.
The incident underscores the importance for citizens to know the alternative emergency numbers, especially in situations where 112 is unavailable or functioning with limitations.
