The Teatro Circo Price in Madrid inaugurates this Wednesday the 'Madrid a la Carpa' cycle, an initiative celebrating local artistic talent and circus tradition with four family-friendly shows.

The first edition of 'Madrid a la Carpa' is presented as a tribute to the city's circus art, offering a diverse program ranging from humor and live music to physical theater and acrobatics. This event, running until Sunday, coincides with the celebrations of San Isidro, Madrid's patron saint.
The cycle kicks off with the international company Faltan7, premiering their work SinSolo. This show explores human relationships and the importance of community through verticals, acrobatic lifts, acrobatic bike, and Chinese pole, blending humor and emotion.

"The circus language is put at the service of a scenic proposal that addresses the need for connection and community."

On Thursday, the stage of the Teatro Circo Price will host Fakir Testa, renowned for his Guinness records and sword-swallowing skills. His proposal, Una experiencia alucinante, promises a sensory journey that merges risk, humor, and active audience participation.
The program continues on Saturday with Fuman Artist, who will present a show integrating humor, live music, and various circus techniques, centered on an eccentric and traveling character. The cycle concludes on Sunday with the Compañía Kanbahiota and their show Play Time, inspired by the medieval story of The Ship of Fools, reinterpreted from the perspective of childhood and play.
The image for this edition was created by illustrator Ana Juan, winner of the National Illustration Award. In addition to this new cycle, the Circo Price will maintain its regular programming from May 22 to 31 with the Circus Baobab company, which will offer a circus and dance show featuring Guinean acrobats.
