The Madrid Press Association announced that the bullfight will take place this Thursday at 7:00 PM. Bullfighters Roca Rey, Diego Urdiales, and Bruno Aloi will face bulls from the Juan Pedro Domecq ranch. The monarch's presence underscores the institutional character of one of the most significant events of the San Isidro Fair.
This will be the fourth time Felipe VI has presided over this event since his proclamation, having attended in 2018, 2023, and 2024. His participation highlights the importance the Crown places on this Madrid bullfighting date. It is worth remembering that before becoming King, as Prince of Asturias, he presided over the event in 2008 with Doña Letizia.
Also attending the bullfight will be the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who presided over last year's edition, and the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida. The Madrid Press Association has enlisted rancher Victorino Martín as a bullfighting advisor for the 2026 edition, recognizing his support for the entity, as highlighted by the APM's Secretary General, Mónica Tourón.
The Corrida de la Prensa maintains a century-long tradition linked to the world of journalism and the Las Ventas bullring.
The Corrida de la Prensa is a celebration with over a century of history. In the previous edition, which marked its 125th anniversary, Morante de la Puebla was awarded the APM's Golden Ear.
