The initiative, presented by the Delegate for Housing Policies, Álvaro González, and the councilor for Fuencarral-El Pardo, José Antonio Martínez Páramo, will focus on the Poblado Dirigido de Orcasitas and Meseta de Orcasitas (Usera), San Cristóbal de los Ángeles (Villaverde), Poblado Dirigido de Fuencarral-Santa Ana (Fuencarral-El Pardo), and Puerto Chico (Latina).
The subsidies are aimed at homeowner associations, community associations, owners of residential buildings, and energy communities for the improvement of residential buildings. The application period will be open until October 16.
González highlighted that the plan aims to intervene in areas with unique structural characteristics where public support is crucial for rehabilitation. As a novelty, Poblado Dirigido de Orcasitas will receive a specific line to subsidize energy efficiency improvements promoted by energy communities.
The other four areas will benefit from aid to improve accessibility, conservation, energy efficiency, and habitability of common elements.
The City Council recalled that in the Poblado Dirigido de Fuencarral-Santa Ana alone, over 8 million euros in municipal aid has been allocated, benefiting more than 1,500 residents. Additionally, EMVS Madrid has carried out a project to improve emergency vehicle and resident accessibility in inter-block spaces, with an investment exceeding 3 million euros.
With this new call, the City Council will have allocated a total of 17,168,000 euros since the creation of the 'Transform Your Neighborhood' Plan in 2021, supporting residential rehabilitation in neighborhoods with the greatest need for intervention.
