The Madrid Pride organization has unveiled a new edition defined by budget constraints and a call for public mobilization to protect the rights and freedoms of the LGTBI+ community.

The event, held at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, brought together various social organizations and institutional representatives. Under the slogan 'Pride, dissidence and resistance', organizers emphasized that the celebration must serve as a tool for advocacy against exclusionary policies and the rise of hate speech.
The organization noted that the international context has necessitated budget cuts and restructuring. Despite these challenges, they have called on the public to join the state demonstration scheduled for July 4th, reviving the concept of 'citizen pride' as an act of defending civil rights.
Representing the Madrid City Council, the delegate for Social Policies, Family and Equality reaffirmed the local government's commitment to diversity, describing it as an inalienable right. He also highlighted the cooperation of public services, including the Municipal Police, to ensure the smooth running of events in the capital.
