The summer offering includes events such as the Collector's Fair, held on the first Saturday of each month (July 4th and September 5th), and the Railway Modeling Market (July 5th and September 6th). These gatherings are key meeting points for collectors and enthusiasts, featuring items ranging from vintage toys and figures like Madelman or Playmobil to comics, movie posters, and specialized magazines.
During weekdays in July, visitors can access iconic collection pieces such as the Talgo II from 1950, the diesel railcar TER from 1965, or the dining car WR-3569 from 1930. Weekend days in July are dedicated to the themed tour ‘Delicias, a Cinema Station,’ highlighting the museum's role as a filming location for movies like Doctor Zhivago or Sabes aquell.
August and September will continue the program, including the themed tour ‘Madrid's First Railway Turns 175!’ from Monday to Friday, and the continuation of the cinematic tour on weekends. The cultural campaign will run until September 6th.
For children, daily workshops such as ‘Holidays on the Train!’ (Mondays to Fridays) and ‘Intelino, the Smart Train’ (Saturdays and Sundays), introducing programming and robotics concepts, have been designed. Participants will receive a free cut-out train as a gift, thanks to the collaboration of Renfe. Additionally, the '175 Years of Railway in Madrid' clue game and the ‘Territorio Ferroviario’ model railway are available.
The offering is complemented by two temporary exhibitions: ‘Wyrsch's Gaze,’ featuring railway images from the 1950s and 60s, and ‘Traveling Through Time: 85 Years of Renfe Advertising,’ which showcases the company's visual memory until September 30th.
General admission for these activities, including tours and workshops, costs 3 euros, with a super-reduced ticket of 1 euro for individuals with disabilities and unemployed EU citizens. The museum's general summer hours are from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
