This cultural event, promoted by Fever and Bastion Producciones, combines historical reenactment, action, and active audience participation in a unique natural setting in Madrid. The experience begins at the entrance, with an ambient Roman camp featuring objects inspired by the classical world.
The core of the event unfolds in a central arena replicating a Colosseum, leveraging the Hipódromo's amphitheater-like structure. A cast of approximately 15 actors will portray gladiators, centurions, and other characters in a show lasting about 60 minutes, divided into two acts.
The performance features between four and five spectacular hand-to-hand combat scenes and acrobatic displays. The narrative officially begins with Caesar's triumphant entry and progresses into a desperate fight for freedom, with warriors facing axe-wielding executioners, the champion Maximus the Thracian, and the "Specters" of the dungeons, all coordinated with action choreography and thunderous percussion.
Interactivity is a key pillar: attendees are divided into two factions, red and green, to cheer for their respective fighters. The final verdict allows spectators to actively determine the fate of the combatants in the arena through their live reactions and decisions, emulating ancient Roman customs.
The show is rated for ages 12 and up, and the venue is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility. High attendance is expected, particularly on Sunday, with an estimated 3,000 spectators. Following its run in Madrid, the production will embark on a tour across Spain and France.
The project previously held a preview program on May 8 and 9 at the same location, with afternoon and evening shows. It now returns at the end of June to conclude its Madrid season.
