The facilities, built in 1992 and managed by EMT since 2025, are located at Calle Cartagena, 178. The recovery of public management has driven a comprehensive modernization focused on sustainable mobility services, in line with the Madrid 360 strategy to reduce emissions.
The project includes the creation of a mobility hub on the -1 floor. Infrastructure such as two 50-kilowatt electric charging points, eight 22-kilowatt points, two battery swap stations, ten spaces for shared vehicles, and seven spaces for the BiciPARK system will be installed.
Floors -2 and -3 will be reserved for conventional parking, offering a total of 124 spaces. The deputy mayor and municipal spokesperson, Inma Sanz, highlighted that the intervention will turn the space into "a true mobility hub".
The renovation will also include significant improvements in accessibility and safety. Restrooms will be renovated, fire doors installed, waterproofing work carried out, and lobbies reconfigured to facilitate evacuations. An accessible route for people with reduced mobility will be established.
Furthermore, the parking facility's technological systems will be updated, including access control, video surveillance cameras, and the implementation of a public address system and camera-based parking guidance.
