The Plaza de Las Ventas hosts the Dos de Mayo Goyesca Bullfight, an event honoring a prominent bullfighting figure, commemorating a significant date in their career.

This year's poster, designed by artist Paloma Velarde, was unveiled at the bullring as part of the mini-fair organized by the regional Government. The artwork features a bottle-green jacket with gold trim, symbolizing the thirtieth anniversary of the honored figure's historic solo performance with six bulls at La Monumental.
The bullfighting event will feature matadors Uceda Leal, El Cid, and Javier Cortés, who will face bulls from the El Pilar ranch. Prior to the bullfight, a Goyesca parade will take place with eight carriages and approximately 60 people dressed in traditional costumes, accompanied by the Municipal Police band until their arrival at the bullring.
The regional mini-fair, which began on May 1st with a novillada with picadors, will conclude on May 3rd with another novillada. The Dos de Mayo Goyesca Bullfight is positioned as the main event of this edition, attracting both enthusiasts and the general public.
In addition to the bullfighting events, the regional Executive has scheduled free cultural activities at the Plaza de Las Ventas between May 29th and June 14th. These initiatives aim to promote bullfighting, recognized as a Cultural Interest Asset, and include the unveiling of tiles and the awarding of prizes to the winners of San Isidro 2025, reaffirming the Community of Madrid's commitment to the bullfighting tradition.
