The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed concern about the impact this move would have on Spain's international projection and the entity's activities. According to ministerial sources, the importance of reaching a consensus on any changes to the consortium's management, which includes various public institutions, has been highlighted.
For its part, the Madrid City Council previously justified the measure based on the building's state of conservation and changes in the consortium's composition following the departure of the Comunidad de Madrid. The building, located at the intersection of Alcalá and O'Donnell streets, remains the institution's main hub.
