The Community of Madrid offers a free online course to train individuals in creating safe environments and promoting good treatment for children and adolescents, in compliance with LOPIVI.

The course, titled 'Creation of safe and good treatment environments for children and adolescents in non-formal education settings. LOPIVI. 2026-II', will be conducted online and is free of charge. Registration will be open from September 1 to December 31, 2026.
Participants, who can apply for a maximum of three courses, will receive theoretical and practical training on children's rights, the conceptual framework and typology of violence, basic regulations, and the construction of safe environments. The objective is to improve child protection and promote good treatment in educational leisure and free time activities.
The training aims to inform the various stakeholders involved about the measures and obligations established by LOPIVI (Organic Law 8/2021, of June 4, for the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence) concerning each area of action, including leisure and free time.
The content covers topics from the 4 pillars of the Convention on the Rights of the Child to prevention, detection, and action against violence, as well as the development of policies and protocols. The training includes practical case studies from the non-formal education sector.
Certification will be issued by the General Directorate of Youth of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid. The course, with a total duration of 18 hours, is aimed at leisure time monitors, educators, heads of entities working with children and youth, and young people aged 16 and over interested in these issues.
